My Practice CD Cover
Today we created a practice CD cover as a way of trying out different skills which can be applied to CD covers. This also gave me the opportunity to get a feel for what it will be like to work with Photoshop and also allow me to think of what ideas I can apply to my own CD cover.
All of the components for this practice cover were elected randomly simply using the internet. Websites such as Flickr, Wikipedia and Dafont were used to select each of the different layers within the cover including pictures, fonts and text.
Toda in the lesson, I learnt how to effectively use the text tool and use different techniques to manipulate and change the way the font looks. This was how I achieved the shadow effect. I also learnt how to resize images to fit a canvas size which is an important skill to have in order for the CD cover to looks effective and realistic.
